The Moonlit Road and Other Ghost and Horror Stories by Ambrose Bierce. This inventive 19th-century horror writer has often been compared to Edgar Allan Poe. It only has 12 stories, a small portion of Bierce's total work.
Best Ghost Stories of Algernon Blackwood by Algernon Blackwood. Contains 12 of Blackwood's best ghost stories, plus one crime story. The famous short story "The Wendigo" is included.
